User Choice Funding

FS Alliance (RTO ID 30814), is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering Nationally Accredited training throughout Australia.  We provide trainees and apprentices with the opportunity to learn, and gain invaluable knowledge and experience through on and off-the-job components of training.

Apprenticeships and traineeships in the NT

FS Alliance is an approved Registered Training Organisation to deliver Nationally Accredited training in the Northern Territory under the NT’s Australian Apprenticeship Support Network and is listed on the

FS Alliance is approved to deliver the following User Choice Funded qualifications to apprentices and trainees in the Northern Territory.

  • AMP20316 Certificate II in Meat Processing (Abattoirs)
  • AMP30116 Certificate III in Meat Processing (Boning Room)
  • AMP30316 Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Safety)

Who can become an apprentice or trainee?

There are rules about who can become an apprentice or trainee in the Northern Territory.  The minimum age for apprentices and trainees, including school-based apprentices and trainees, is 15 years unless otherwise stated in an industrial award or agreement.  Where the apprentice or trainee is under the age of 18 years, the parent or guardian is required to approve the Contract of Training.

Residency status

The following are eligible to enter into a Contract of Training in the Northern Territory and therefore participate in apprenticeships or traineeships, including those which may be funded under the use choice program:

  • Australian citizens
  • New Zealand citizens who have resided in Australia for the last six months
  • Persons with Permanent Residency visas
  • Persons with Temporary Protection visas
